Thought I’d share this with the girls. My husband and I visited our dear Miss Marsden on May 20 at her new home. Well, she was just as special as I remembered her - hadn’t seen her for 50 years! She said she remembered myself and Michelle Bowles, my long term friend from IGGS. I said I’m sorry I’d left it so long! She walked with us giving us a tour of her new home, telling staff along the way that this was a student of hers! Just beautiful. She insisted we had afternoon tea with her, brought in by the staff. We had lots to chat about, showing us some of her 100th birthday cards.
As well as flowers, I took her a French newspaper and a Notre Dame programme of events, which I brought back for her especially, from our trip last December, not realising that there wouldn’t be any more programmes from Notre Dame for some time to come.She is still a truly remarkable lady. I will treasure our visit with her.
